Frank Zappa was, a musical genius, a great entertainer and an extremely inteligent individual. This is what brought me to become a Zappa fan back in 1973 when my brother introduced me to his music.

I grew up just outside of Chicago and used to go to almost every show he played their. He would also play Milwaukee the week before or after his Chicago dates and for just over an hours drive we could see him again!

Sometimes he would play two shows a night, and it didn't matter if you saw both shows or came back the next night, every show was different. Thats what happens when it just comes out of your head as you go insted of a planned performance, and thats the way Zappa played.

I recently found a few old ticket stubs in my junk draw at my parents house from a 1976, 77 and 78 shows in Chicago. A couple at the Uptown and one from the Auditorium Theater, check out the price on these babys!
