known as Lizzie.(3) Mrs. L. (Lizzie) Havis
was the manager of Western Union Telegraph office in Newnan, Georgia for thirty-one
years. When she resigned, she was the first person ever given a pension by the
company, according to "Coweta Chronicles for a Hundred Years."
