7. Minor Havis Brown (4) was born in 1856. (1) He died in 1921.(1) He was buried in Taylor, Williamson Co., Texas.(4) He settled in Texas, owning a newspaper in Taylor, Texas until his death in 1921. He studied journalism at the University of Texas in Austin. His roommate was the author known as O'Henry.

He had red hair, so his nickname was "Pinkie."

He had a large family Bible given to him by his mother, Virginia Carolina Havis. The Bible was later given to his niece, Evelyn Havis Luebbert (Mrs. Henry C. Luebbert).

He was married to Ella Knight.(1) Ella Knight was buried in Taylor, Williamson Co., Texas.(4) Minor Havis Brown and Ella Knight had the following children:
