Robert died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in 1918. He was
hauling corn to a gristmill in his Dodge touring car when his driver lost control
and the car overturned. The sacks of corn fell on Robert Napoleon causing injuries
that resulted in his death later in Opelika. He died at an emergency medical
house located at the corner of 4th Avenue and 11th Street which was later occupied
by the Buchanans for around 60 years. [Taken from Tom Botsford's "A Brief
