American Indian Cultural Resource Center — The principal purpose of the Center is to inform the general public of the world view, the philosophy of life, the spiritual insight of Native Peoples.

Precision Atlatl & Dart Systems — A web site with information on Atlatl archeology, mechanics, and sales.

MAPS: GIS Windows on Native Lands, Current Places, and History — A great site for maps important to the historical, cultural, and political influences related to Native North Americans.

Red Eye TeleViSioN —Red Eye TV is a unique collection of educational videos, narrated by Native people, that focuses on the traditional culture of American Indian people of the Northern Plains.

The Minnesota Historical Society—The Minnesota Historical Society has been collecting, preserving and telling stories of Minnesota for 150 years. Check out their newly developed catalog of photographic images.

Native American Indian Resources—Its purpose is to provide cultural and educational material from many tribal backgrounds for Indian educators, students -- at all age levels -- and schools.

The Sisiton Wahpeton Community College —A website dedicated to preserving and extending knowledge of Dakota history, language, and culture.

Lakhota/Dakhota/Nakhota (Sioux) Literature—This is the Dakota section of a larger site (Indigenous Peoples' Literature) created by Glenn H. Welker.

The Lakota of the Plains—A portion of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History dealing with the Lakota.

The Jeffers Petroglyphs Site—A rock art site containing over 2000 carvings, many with astrological respresentations, in south-central Minnesota (near Windom).

Effigy Mounds National Monument—An archeological site containing 191 known prehistoric mounds, 29 of which take the form of animals.

River Rendezvous—A multi-day festival featuring historical demonstrations and re-enactments of life in the 1840s.
When: Mid-September annually.
