ARNOLD, Robert
Robert Bob D. Arnold, 57, of Goose Creek, died Sunday, October 17, 2004 surrounded by his wife and sisters. Born February 7, 1947 in Tampa, Florida, he was the son of the late Robert Ward Arnold and Mary Arnold (nee Dalton). His 20 year career in the US Army included service in Vietnam, and he retired as an officer. He began his civil service career in logistics in 1989 to present. Bob was an avid golfer and member of Crowfield Golf and Country Club. He was also an excellent swimmer and at the age of eleven, while residing in Japan with his family, Bob saved a young boy from drowning. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda; daughter: Denise Arnold Farris, Oregon; three sisters: Pamela Arnold Barger, Waco, TX, Kathy Arnold Anderson and Patricia Arnold Riley, both of Wichita Falls, TX; nieces and nephews including Raymond Avery, Brian Rogers, James Tate, David Mack, Kelsey Riley, Sarah Yi and Sun Min Kim; and two sisters-in-law Jannie Yi and Young Ju Lee, both of Hawaii. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00PM Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, October 21, 2004 in the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow.
