ARTHUR CHEVALIER

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 21, 1994, in the Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes.

Mr. Chevalier was born March 3, 1896, in Bathgate, N.D. He died of Alzheimer's disease and pneumonia Sept. 17. He was 98.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War I, Mr. Chevalier was a farmer in North Dakota until moving to Oregon in 1936. He worked in the Portland shipyards during World War II. The Southeast Portland resident then worked as a groundskeeper at the University of Portland until he retired in 1965.

He married Myrtle P. McGrady in 1919; she died in 1975.

Survivors are his son, Jerald of Boring; sister, Mary Hoffort of Minnesota; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
