1900 US census gives her birth date as Sep 1896, obviously an error.

Evidently did not have a middle name at christening, but chose Adair later in life.

"My mother may have been a heroine. She had three kids and she stuck with it to take care of them. There wasn't much else she could do, she had no marketable skills and she was not an aggressive take-a-chance type of person that could just walk out regardless. She suffered through a lot of neglect and frustration and I'm sure it wasn't easy." ⁸
