Van Hoven, president of the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range Railway, announced Friday that the railway would contribute $300,000 toward construction of a new hospital in Two Harbors. Van Hoven said the money was voted at a meeting of the rail line's board of directors here. The money is to go to the North Shore Memorial Hospital, Inc. The association has been trying for about two years to raise funds for a hospital."
