"An interesting fact in connection with the marriage of Mr. Rivard and Miss D’Aoust which occurred in this city yesterday, is the fact that they chose to be married on the day that the groom’s father and mother celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. The young couple drove out to the town of Tilden, where gathered beside the aged couple Mr. Octave Rivard age 71 years and his good wife who is 70 years of age, seventy-one of their children and grandchildren to welcome the newly married couple."
