Chevalier was born on 1 January 1850 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada,13 died on 20 September 1926 in Benson, Swift, Minnesota 13 and was buried on 22 September 1926 in St. Francis Cemetery, Benson, Swift, Minnesota 1 13.) The cause of his death was carcinoma of the colon.4
