Frederick H. Spuehler, age 90, of Patterson, N.Y., died Monday, December 27, 1999 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y.
Mr. Spuehler was born July 21, 1909 in New York City to Frederick W. and Huldah Doby (Dalton) Spuehler. He had attended Rye Neck High School in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
Mr. Spuehler married Jane Callahan on April 30, 1938 at Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains, N.Y.
Mr. Spuehler was a resident of Patterson (Putnam Lake) since 1954 and had lived in Harrison, N.Y. prior.
Mr. Spuehler was a ceramic tile setter for 50 years before his retirement in 1974. He had worked for the Tile Layers Union Local #52 in NYC. Mr. Spuehler was a member of the Croton Lodge #368, F. & A.M. in Carmel, N.Y. and had previously belonged to the Harrison Lodge.
Besides his wife, Mr. Spuehler is survived by a son, William H. Spuehler of Danbury; a sister, Evelyn Fava of Mamaroneck, N.Y.; a grandson, William H. Spuehler Jr. and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers, Ralph, Walter, George and John Spuehler, and a sister, Huldah O'Connor.
A Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 1999 at 8:00 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster. A private cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
