  Notes on her death:

"Mrs. M. Goulet Passes Away

Had Been An Invalid For Four Years -- Funeral Held Today.

Mrs. Mathilda Goulet passed away at her late home in this city last Tuesday morning at 3:30 o'clock. she had been an invalid for four years suffering with a complication of ailments. She had been sinking rapidly in strength for several days prior to the end and her demise was not unexpected.

The deceased was born at St. Alphonse, Canada, on March 22, 1849. She came with her parents to Glencoe at the age of 11 years. When the Indian uprising occurred in 1862 she went to St. Paul with her parents for safety and from that city they later went to Henderson to reside. She was married at the latter town and later returned to Glencoe with her husband and has since resided here.

The late Mrs. Goulet was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive. They are Mrs. Wm. Cameron, of Henderson; Mrs. Louis Thaemert, of Milroy; Simon, of Sheyenne, N. D.; and Leonard, Clara and Alamanda who reside at home. All were at the death-bed except Simon who was unable to come here.

The deceased was a good woman who was highly esteemed by her large circle of acquaintances and friends in this communitty (sic), and the sorrowing members of the family have the sympathy of the community in their irreparable loss.

The funeral services were held this morning at St. George's church, Father John Byrne officiating. A large concourse of friends joined the relatives to pay their respects to the departed life at the church and at the grave.

Thos from a distance attending the funeral were Alfred Goulet, Mrs. William Camerson (sic) and daughter and Nelson Hoyez, of Henderson; Mrs. Louis Thaemert, of Milroy; Mr. and Mrs. Charles DeGree and Arthur Koons, of Stewart; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Merchant, of Sumpter; and Rose Goulet of Hancock."
