Annie Marie Maanum, born March 1, 1858 in Norway, married Anders (Andrew)Nelson, who was born in 1853 in Norway. Their first child was named Inga (Inger in Norwegian.) She was born September 14, 1881. When she was 6 or 10 months old they came to America. They first lived in Green Bay,Wisconsin where Norman (March 15, 1884) and Tillie (Aug 29,1886) were born. Then they moved to Hancock, Minnesota to a farm east of town near the river. Then Eva (August 7, 1889), Agatha (February 16,1893) and Olaf (July 6, 1896) were born. Annie died just before Olaf was one year old on June 20, 1897. Andrew died November 6, 1918. They are both buried at West Zion Cemetery near Hancock. -- Gwen Lundgren. ¹

Anne married Andrew Nelson, son of Nels Nelson and Unknown. (Andrew Nelson was born on 28 July 1854 in Norway,² died on 6 November 1918 in Hoff Township, Pope, Minnesota ³ and was buried on 7 November 1918 in West Zion Cemetery, Benson, Swift, Minnesota ².) The cause of his death was pneumonia.
