  General Notes:

It looks very much like the 1880 US census enumerator was rather sloppy in his work. Exilda is listed as wife, correct age, but named Mary. Mary, the first daughter, is listed as Louis, a male. Louisa, the second daughter is not counted at all. The other children are properly accounted for.

  Things to check:

1910 US census notes both parents born in Canada. As does 1920 census.

1910 US census states that she is the mother of 6 children, 5 living.

"Mrs. Chas. T. Rouleau Called.

Mrs. Chas. T. Rouleau, aged 72, widow of the late Captain Rouleau, so well known in Riverview where the family lived for many years, passed away Thursday morning at the family residence 90 E. Dearborn street, after an attack of apoplexy which she suffered Friday evening of last week. Capt. Rouleau was one of the first members of St. Paul's police force, and one of the first white children born here. Mrs. Roulean was born in Montreal, and came to St. Paul at the age of eight years, and had the novel experience of coming by ox team. Her maiden name was Exilda Dubour. Surviving her are five children: W. G. Rouleau, of Minneapolis; Mrs. Lillian Gilmore, Mrs. Maye Hellhake, Mrs. Rose D. Williams, and Miss Louise Rouleau, all of St. Paul. The funeral will take place this morning from St. Michael's church, and the interment will be made in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Rouleau was a model wife and mother, and had many friends in Riverview where she lived for so many years."
