The glass pyramid that covers the main entrance of the Louvre extends
below the ground near some shops and places to eat. To complete the
effect a pyramid extends up from the floor to nearly meet it. This is
the now famous La Pyramide Inversee that is the focal point in the ending
of the book "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown.

Winged Victory of Samothrace.
It was found on the island of Samothrace around 190 BC, is made of marble, and is 11 feet tall.

The Louvre and other attractions open at 9 a.m.. For some reason (like they
are on vacation?) most tourists don't arrive until well after opening. We found
it's much better to arrive early and not have to fight the crowds.

We thought this place was great.

The most famous exhibits always draw a crowd.

my father, and his father are all named Eugene because of her. We don't know the reason.
