1856 in Arkansas. it shows his wifes name as Isabelle Qualls. It=
name of his father as unknown, born in Tennessee. It shows his mot=
Leadbetter born in Tennessee. He was buried in Maple Park cemeter=
by the Kelly funeral home of Aurora. Isabel is also buried in Map=
cemetery.

Robert H. Qualls, was born July 5th, 1846, departed this life, Sep=
He was united in marriage to Isabelle Burney, Oct. 3rd 1880, who p=

he leaves five children, Lena Simmons and Bammie Widick of Miami O=
Dunn and Velma Turner, of Aurora, Mo., and one son Auburn Qualls, =
Springs, Kansas, Nineteen grandchildren and three great grand chil=
sister, Mrs. Mary Hudson of Aurora, and one brother Matthew Qualls=
, and other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his departur=
He professed faith in , and accepted Christ as his Savior, at the =
years, and lived a devoted Christian life, first uniting with the =
Presbyterian Church and later uniting with the Methodist Protesta=
(Aurora) and continuing in that church until called by death, from=
Reward.
Funeral Services were held in the Aurora Methodist Protestant Chur=
conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Hines and Rev. Francis Goodnight, an=
by services by the I.O.O.F. lodge, of which he was also a member.
"Uncle Robert" as he was affectionately called by all who knew him=
leader in the church and community, and to know him was to love hi=
His life was an open book, ther record bespeaking honesty, sinceri=
sympathy and helpfulness in every day through all the years. And =
called him "Uncle Robert" he was held in still closer esteem, and =
of July, 1926, his 69th birthday, the entire church membership bro=
dinner and spread dinner in Uncle Robert's yard, there being about=
present, and in the Sunday School passed a resolution, making Uncl=
"Father of the Sunday School".
Bro. Conrad, Supt. of the Sunday School, told me on Saturday befor=
Robert passed on, that Uncle Bob has been a father to me and that =
the general feeling among those who knew him.
