John Olsen
John Olsen, 76, of 1008 Frank Ave., a native of Denmark and a veteran
of World War I, died at 1:10 p.m. Saturday in Naeve Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church,
Albert Lea. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. The Rev. C.
Kenneth Ham will officiate. Friends may call at Bonnerup & Son Funeral
Chapel.
Mr. Olsen was born April 26, 1893m, in Denmark and came to the United
States in 1913 locating in Iowa and three years later came to Albert
Lea. He was a carpenter by trade.
Mr. Olsen and Dorothea Marpe were married in 1929. She had preceded
him in death in 1949. He was married in 1950 to Alberta Marpe, who
survives him.
Other survivors are: two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joan) John of
Spearfish, S. D. and Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Stolze, McMinnville, Tenn.;
two brohers, Jacob of St. Paul and Ole in Denmark; two sisers, Marie and
Krisa, both in Denmark and 13 grandchildren.
Two sisters, Catherine Sorensen and one in infancy and a grandson,
Bruce Stolze had also preceded him in death.
