Services Held Saturday for Walter Hintz
Funeral services for Walter August Hintz, 72, Walters, who died
Christmas Day, December 25, 1974, in the United Hospital at Blue Earth
were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mansfield Lutheran church. Interment was in
the church cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Pettyjohn officiated.
A son of Louis and Emma Hintz, he was born April 6, 1902, in Walters.
He had been a farmer and was well known for raising and exhibiting
waterfowl and poultry. He was a member of Mansfield Lutheran church.
Mr. Hintz and Margaret Buendorf were married Dec. 20, 1925, at Wells.
She preceded him in death June 6. His parents, two brothers and two
sisters had also preceded him in death.
Surviving him are: a son, Llewellyn of Kiester; three daughters, Mrs.
Philip (Georgene) Ackerman of North English, Ia., Mrs. Kermit (LeAnn)
Bronson of Glenville and Mrs. Omer (Harriet) Anderson of Albert Lea; two
sisters, Mrs. Meta Meissner of Plato, and Mrs. Barney (Maletta) Katzung
of Albert Lea; a brother, Raymond of Bricelyn; 17 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.

Last Rites Held Saturday for Mrs. W. Hintz
Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Hintz, 66 died at her home on Thursday, June 6,
1974. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, in the
Mansfield Lutheran church where she was a member. Interment was in the
church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Pettyjohn officiated.
A native of Foster Township, she was a daughter of George and Mary
Buendorf and was born June 7, 1907. She was a member of the ALCW, was a
Sunday school teacher many years and a past member of the Altar Guild of
Mansfield Lutheran.
Mr. and Mrs. Hintz were married Dec. 20, 1925. He survives her.
Other survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Omer (Harriet) Anderson of
Albert Lea, Mrs. Kermit (LeAnn) Bronson, Glenville, and Mrs. Philip
(Georgene) Ackerman of North English, Iowa; a son, Llewellyn of Kiester;
17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Four sisters and two brothers surviving her are: Mrs. William (Esther)
Meyer of Alden, Mrs. Hilton (Irene) Sauer, of Wells, Mrs. Herb (Helen)
Schultz, Lismore, and Mrs. Richard (Marion) Madsen of Austin and Walter
Buendorf of Faribault and Henry Buendorf of Alden.
Her parents and two brothers, George and Arnold, had preceded her in
death.
