Funeral Services Held Wednesday for Manville Hintz
Manville R. Hintz of Spencer, Iowa, a former Kiester resident, died at
the hospital there Sunday, March 24, 1968, at 10:30 a.m. following a
lingering illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First English
Lutheran church, Spencer. Graveside services were at Our Savior's
Lutheran church cemetery at Kiester at 3:30 p.m.
Casket bearers were Barney Katzung and Raymond Katzung of Albert Lea,
Raymond Hintz of Bricelyn, Walter Hintz of Walters, Llewelyn Hintz and
Eldo Aspenson of Kiester.
Mr. Hintz, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hintz of Kiester, was
born May 22, 1898, in Kiester township. He was united in marriage to
Nora Larson of Sept. 5, 1923 at Kiester.
Mr. Hintz was a Kiester businessman until 1944 when the family moved to
Spencer, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Roger of Des Moines, Iowa, and
Leslie of Algona, Iowa, and a daughter, Annette, at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Barney Katzung of Albert Lea and
Mrs. Richard Meissner of Plato, two brothers, Walter of Walters and
Raymond of Bricelyn, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ervin Hintz of
Kiester, and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Kappplinger and Louise Hintz of
Kiester.

Last Rites Held in Iowa for Mrs. Nora Hintz
Mrs. Manville R. Hintz of Spencer, Iowa, a former Kiester resident,
died Sunday, March 31, 1974 following a lingering illness.
Nora Hintz was born to William and Minnie Larson July 7, 1896, at
Morris, Ill. She was married to Manville R. Hintz Sept. 5, 1923, at
Kiester where they lived until 1944 when the family moved to Spencer,
Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died March 24, 1968.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Roger of Des Moines, Iowa,
Leslie of Spencer, Ia., and Annette of Nevada, Iowa, and four
grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Alfred (Mayme) Aspenson, of Kiester also
survives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the First English
Lutheran church at Spencer where she was a member. Graveside services
and interment were in Our Savior's Lutheran church cemetery at Kiester.
Lunch was served at Our Savior's Lutheran church for the relatives
following the service.
