The Mansfield German Lutheran church was the scene of a very pretty
wedding on Friday afternoon at two o'clock when Miss Laura Hintz,
daughter of Godfrey Hintz of Mansfield became the bride of Manville
Pestorious, son of Chris Pestorious of Pickeral Lake. The double ring
ceremony was used with Rev. E. Rieber officiating.
They were attended by the groom's sister, Mrs. Adelbert Hintz and Mr.
Adelbert Hintz, brother of the bride. Lohengrin's and Mendelssohn's
wedding marches were used for the nuptial music played by Miss Margaret
Hintz, sister of the bride.
The bride wore a gown of white lace and a tulle veil. she carried a
bouquet of white roses and sweet peas. Mrs. Adelbert Hintz was dressed
in blue lace and her flowers were a corsage of pink roses and sweet peas.
Both the groom and best man wore dark blue.
Following the services a wedding dinner was served to about forty
relatives at the bride's home where decorations were carried out in a
color scheme of blue and white. A four-tiered wedding cake decorated
with miniature bride and groom, and blue tapers formed the decorations
for the table at which the bridal party were seated. Sister-in-laws of
the newlyweds acted as waitresses. They were Mrs. Emil Hintz, Mrs. Fred
Behr, Jr., Mrs. Ervin Breamer and Miss Evelyn Kutthe.
The happy couple will be at home on the farm of the groom's father at
Pickeral Lake.
