Olga Pauline Greenfield was born on September 26, 1905 in Kiester
Township, Faribault County, Minnesota to Ernest and Mary (Tessman)
Hintz. She was baptized October 29, 1905. She attended the Hintz
country school and graduated from the Albert Lea High School. On
November 28, 1929 she was united in marriage to Donald Greenfield at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church in Kiester. She and her husband farmed in the
Lakota, Iowa area and later moved to Conger, Minnesota and then to the
Kiester area in 1946.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church and was very active
in the Ladies Aid where she served as past secretary. They enjoyed
horses and were members of the Kiester Saddle Club. Olga was a devout
Christian and a devoted mother.
Olga died on Tuesday, August 10, 1993 at the Good Samaritan Center in
Albert Lea, Minnesota at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 15 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty, Mrs. Arnold Bauman of
Kiester; son, Derald and wife Kas Greenfield of Bricelyn. Also, seven
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Palmer Hintz of
Blue Earth, Minnesota; one brother-in-law: Lawrence Greenfield of
Slinger, Wisconsin; one sister-in-law: Velva Greenfield of Hopkins,
Minnesota and many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1984, two
brothers and two sisters.
