Emanuel Hinderer
Waterville - Emanuel P. Hinderer, 85, a long-time Waterville rancher
died in a Wenatchee convalescent center on Monday evening following an
extended illness.
Born in LaCrescent, Minn., on June 12, 1887, he spent his early life in
that area. He was employed by the Great Northern Railroad as an invoice
clerk at St. Paul. In 1906 he came to Hilliard, Wash. He moved to
Waterville in 1907 where he had since resided.
He was married to Melinga Hintz at Spokane in 1924. She preceded him
in death in 1956. On June 29, 1957, he was married to Olga Zibell at St.
Paul
Surviving are his wife, at home; three sons, Paul, Mark E. and John
Hinderer, all of Waterville; a daughter, Mrs. Irene McNamara, Toledo,
Ohio; two brothers, Ted Hinderer, Pullman, and Chris Hinderer, Withrow;
two sisters; Mrs. Clara Bauer, Edmonds, and Mrs. Elsa Eberly, Tonasket;
and seven grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in
death.
Services will be announced at a later date by the Waterville Funeral

Mrs. Melinda Hinderer
Waterville - Mrs. Melinda Hinderer, 58, of Waterville died in Eastern
State Hospital in Medical Lake Sunday.
Mrs. Hinderer was born Dec. 13, 1897 in Kiester, Minn. She was
graduated from the schools and baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran
Church there.
Mrs. Hinderer attended normal school at Bellingham and taught in the
Douglas school one term. She was married to Emmanuel Hinderer Sept. 1,
1924, at Waterville, where the family had resided since.
Surviving are: her husband, Emmanuel Hinderer of Waterville; three
sons, Mark, John, and Paul Hinderer, all of Waterville; one daughter,
Olga Irene Hinderer of New York City; her mother, Mrs. Mary Hinte of
Kiester, Minn.; three brothers; and two sisters.
Thomas Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Funeral Notices
Melinda Hinderer - Services will be held Wednesday 2 p.m. from the
American Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. E. E. Zellmer
officiating. The family's wish is that those caring to make memorial
contributions to the Douglas County Memorial Hospital, or those who
prefer may send flowers. Interment will be in the Waterville Cemetery.
