Cerebus the Aardvark Radio Episodes

A way long time ago I used to actually read comic books (as opposed to just collecting them), and one of my favorites was Dave Sim's Cerebus the Aardvark. I used to write Dave all kinds of crazy fan letters, and you can even find my picture in issue #116 (November 1988, see below). Back in the day, when Cerebus was the hottest thing in comics (early 1980s), Shockwave (a Minneapolis science fiction oriented public radio program on KFAI, 90.3 FM) produced radio adaptations of the first six issues of Cerebus. Adaptations were done by Kara Dalkey with various local Minnesota SF fans and writers providing the voices. Issue #6 was actually performed live (with Dave in attendance) at Mini-Con 17 (4/1/83) in Bloomington, Minnesota. The recordings are a little rough and amateurish and I apologize for the iffy quality. Still, these should be of interest to die-hard Cerebus fans. I make them available here without seeking the permission of any of the involved creative parties. If any of said creative parties object, I will gladly make all of this go away (although fat chance of that, I hear Dave has gone off his nut and believes the internet to be the work of the devil, which it may well be, but that's beside the point).

Cerebus is a copyrighted creation of Dave Sim and Aardvark-Vanaheim Press.

My crazy fan letter from 1988. The "joke" (if it's not obvious from the scan) is that I took a flash picture of myself in front of a mirror, thus obscuring my own image and rendering the whole point of the letter absurd - definitely sillier (and skinnier) days!
