This model dates back to the late 60's and was first imported by MRC (stamped "MRC Yugoslavia" on the bottom), later by AHM, and finally by Model Power (the latter two simply being stamped "Yugoslavia"). Presumably these vanished from existance in the late 1990s when Mehano ceased production. The wheels and axles are metal. Couplers are body-mounted Rapidos.
This ubiquitous eight window design has been a staple of N scale since the beginning, with virtually every manufacturer offering one version or another of it. It is based on the "ATSF 1900 Series" prototype.
