This six-window design was originally imported by Life-Like (probably dating back to the 1970s). It saw service up into the 1990s, at which point Life-Like dropped it in favor of a Chinese-made eight-window cupola caboose. Model Power became the new importer after that. These models ultimately vanished in the late 1990s (probably due to all the conflict in the former Yugoslavia).
Both Bachmann and Atlas have offered similar six-window cabooses (the former manufactured in China and the latter manufactured in Austria).
These models have metal wheels and shell-mounted Rapido couplers. They are stamped "Yugoslavia" on the bottom.
I'm told that this model was based on a Grand Trunk Western / CN (Newfoundland Railways) prototype, shortened to fit the 30' underframe.
