Bachmann (China) Standard Steel-Sided Caboose w/ Offset Cupola

This six-window design was the first caboose manufactured by Bachmann (dating back to the late 1960s). As of this writing (2008), Bachmann is still cranking them out. Both Atlas and Life-Like have offered similar six-window cabooses (the former manufactured in Austria and the latter manufactured in Yugoslavia).

These models have metal wheels and shell-mounted Rapido couplers. They are stamped "Bachmann - Made in China" on the bottom.

I'm told that this model was based on a Grand Trunk Western / CN (Newfoundland Railways) prototype, shortened to fit the 30' underframe.

Known roads - PC, PRR, B&O, CB&Q, GN, UP, SF, BN, Chessie, "Spirit of '76"
