These models came out in the late 90's. They have plastic wheels and shell-mounted couplers (either Rapido or Micro-Trains). Other features -
- Thin endrails
- Window glazing
- Separate brake cylinder
- Triple valve and air reservoir
- Open smoke stack
- Roller-bearing caboose trucks
- Accurate painting and lettering
This model is based on a fairly standard International Car Company car. The cupola is not quite as tall as the standard ICC wide-visions because it was based on an east coast RR that had tunnel clearances to worry about (possibly Reading).
An outfit called "Bluford Shops" offers these models in custom paint schemes not available directly from Atlas.
