I'm Back Online

October 5 - Minnesota at Green Bay

I would have liked the Vikings in this game, but I was battling jet lag and a lack of Internet access for this game. No pick as a result.

October 12 - Miami at Jacksonville (-6.5), 40.5 over/under

When he took over as Dolphins'coach, Jimmy Johnson said he would be back in the Superbowl in three years. Well, it is year three, and with a legitimate running game, Miami looks good.

Unfortunately the real AFC threat this year is Miami's Monday night opponent. ALthough the Dolphin offense should score more than they did against the Jets, and help push the score over the o/u line, I like the Jaguars to cover the spread.

I Wish I Could Have Seen That

Seems I missed the most exciting game of the young NFL season. At least I took both picks.

October 19 NY Jets at the New England Patriots

The Tuna returns to New England, and this time, Parcells' Jets are a 6.5 point underdog. This week, the Packers and Jaguars were upset, and San Francisco had a scare. I think the Jets will continue the pattern.

With Mayo

I'm learning that the Dutch like mayo. They like it on fries, they like it in salads. Personally, I like it with Tuna salad.
This incoherent rambling was brought to you by the letter W and the number +50.

October 26 Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs

Last year, I picked the Steelers on a Monday night game as an underdog against Jacksonville and only a lst second blocked field goal prevented me from winning.

Then I picked them as a road underdog against the Chiefs and the game ended in a push with a three point KC win.

This time I like teh Steelers to win the game outright, so the 6 points are just gravy.
