I see no reason that this should change this week, and I'll take the 3 points.

Pushy Pushy
That's what we call it when the score is a tie, and so I get to stay in
the black at +20 for at least one more week.
Frisco looked good against the Cowboys, and I love to watch Dallas lose; but as the Niners come off that big win and find themself at 8-1, they may make the mistake of taking the Birds lightly.

Change of Mind, Not of Heart
When I had that shitty losing streak to start the year, it was the
Niners over Carolina that helped turn things around. After that game I
thought to myself, "What a pleasure to have a chance to bet on San Fran
against a team they should beat." Indeed.
So here is my chance, and that is what I am going to do. My heart belongs to the Iggles, but this is business. I'm taking the Niners.

Renegade Owner
When I hear people label Al Davis or Jerry Jones as the "outlaw" owners
of the NFL, I have to laugh. Sure, superficially, those two look like
renegades when they sue the league to move to L.A., then back to Oakland,
or cut marketing deals with Nike on their own. To me, that seems no
different from other owners' threatening cities in order to
increase revenues.
The real renegade is Ed DeBartolo. Sure, he's done his share of arm-twisting to get a new stadium, but the bottom line is the bottom line. Frankly, the DeBartolo family doesn't care if they make money or not. Consistently, the 49er franchise barely breaks even or loses money. The fact is they like to win, and they don't mind spending money to do it.
They are the true renegades, and the Eagles got a little taste of that tonight.

So here's what I am going to do. I'll take Miami and I'll take a nap. When I awake, we'll so if I feel any better, or if the Bills do, for that matter. Id oubt either one of us will be happy 'round Midnight.

Miami 30 Buffalo 13
I was awake for much of the first half, I drifted away after halftime,
and I learned the score from Nina in a somnabulent state.
But I fared better than the Bills.
This must be how the Broncos feel. They lost in Kansas City last week, only to come home this week on Monday Night to play the only other team to beat them this year.
The Broncos should be breathing fire for this one, and a porous Raider defense won't be doing any mock salutes tonight as they did back in week eight.
Ten points or not, I like the Broncos.

Commitment to Excellence
I knew Al Davis had finally lost his mind when he spent a lot of money
to bring in Larry Brown. You remember him. He caught two interceptions
against Neil O'Donell and the Steelers two years ago and won M.V.P.
by default. I'm sure a photographer or two caught errant O'Donell
passes, maybe Al Davis should have hired some of them, too.
They just don't look good anymore. Slogans only count for so much.
We salute you.
