Resistor Color Coding

This is a mnemonic for resistor color coding which I learned a very long time ago. I'm pretty sure I read it in a book. I'm posting it here because, to my surprise, I haven't found anywhere else on the web where it's given.

Big Ben Rings Out, "Young Girls Buy Volkswagens, George Washington!"

Yes, it's silly, but it's also memorable (at least, it's stuck in my head for 20 years or more).

0 (B)lack
1 (B)rown
2 (R)ed
3 (O)range
4 (Y)ellow
5 (G)reen
6 (B)lue
7 (V)iolet
8 (G)ray
9 (W)hite

There are some additional rules for precision, scaling, etc. but I'm too lazy to dig them up for now!

Back to random stuff.
