I have been going to the GLBT Pride events in the Twin Cities every year since I first worked up the courage to go in 1997. My trepidations were unfounded, however, as I found myself immersed in a sea of people who shared something with me. All around me were folk of all colors, creeds and genders ... and all of them accepting of who I was at my core. That kind of implicit knowledge takes a huge weight off of your shoulders, often a weight you didn't even know was there to begin with. Me, reclining on the grass, listening to a drum concert Mike, looming! Flags of many colors helped enforce the festive atmosphere My car, getting dressed up to go out in the Parade!       The May Pole on top of my car during the Parade Myself and other local Pagans marching in the Pride Parade!
