Salesperson was Jeremy. I had little conversation...I knew what I wanted. Ordered a Denon 2700 late Monday...got the thing double boxed & perfect on Fri. Even got an order number & next day they gave me a Fed Ex. Number...so I traced the shippment X-county. They offer a 30 day exchange...but a 15% restocking if you return & do not re-order.

I recently purchased a complete home theater system from Reference Audio Video and found them to be very professional, courteous, and very, very caring. My salesperson, Ken, provided me with the kind of level of support I could not find at any local dealer here. I have always believed in supporting the local merchants, but none of five dealers I had visited showed me the attentiveness of this fine company. Let me emphasize that the issue was never money. I would have gladly paid full price if I felt I was receiving full service. As it turned out, all I wanted was someone whose advice I felt I could trust, someone who would get me literature, and someone whom I could feel deserved my business. Reference Audio Video is the "Nordstroms" of the audio business.

I have bought not one but two Denon AVR-3200 receivers from these folks. What can I say? The lowest price I could find, they shipped the equipment the same day, received the equipment two days later doubled boxed in perfect shape. Highly recommended!

I was looking for the NAD712 receiver but it was out of stock. I ordered one anyway and it eventually came in 3 weeks, 1 week longer than promised. Judging from the fedex labels, the unit was shipped to Reference Audio and they turned it around the next day. I ordered a sony str-da90esg on a monday at 3:00 in the afternoon from jeremy.He told me i would have it on thursday.It came on thursday as promised,double boxed with no problems.Not only did they provide the best price I could find anywhere i looked they were the only one who actually had one.One call said they would take my order(19 deep in back order and they have only seen a handful of them in the last 3 months)but had no idea when i would see it.I also backordered a sony es cd player,which is not billed to your credit card untill shipped to you,after you are called when it arrives to verify you still want it.I was reluctant to mail order something of this value from a company i was not familiar with,but would not hesitate again.they are also a sony authorized dealer(i verified it on sony's dealer locator) so the 5 year es warranty is valid.

I ordered Bryston B60 from this company. I was shocked to get a quote of $1260 on this unit, because my local dealer was unwilling to give me a deal on this unit ($1495). I talked to Kevin. When I called back to place an order on this unit, Kevin was unavailable. So I talked to Jeremy. He quoted me $1200!! I bought it and received it 3 days later. Shipping was only $15. Wow.. Since then I have found that prices are lower than that of Onecall. Mynew favorite mail order company. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Reference Audio Video. I purchased a set of Infinity Speakers. After I found one is defective, Ken helped me to have the speaker replaced by the Infinity Systems Co. instead of having it fix since it is obvious to be a manufacturing defect. Talk to Ken on your order. He is a good, knowledgeable, and helpful sales representative.

This is one of the best mailorder company. I ordered a full suite of home theatre speakers (DCM) from jeremy. They were delivered in 4 days (UPS) as promised directly from the factory with a 25% savings over retail. I do not think there will a better way to save money. I recommend this company whole heartedly.

Bought Atlantic Technology 250.1 series speakers from Kevin, at Reference Audio. A real nice person. And since I was a little short on cash - but wanted speakers to complete my "system' by the holidays, he was good enough to include free delivery (UPS ground). Price was $100 lower than One Call, whom I called first. Four days latter (I live in the Mid-West) my 250.1s arrived in perfect condition, doubled boxed (except for sub-w which is in a heavier box to begin with); all inter boxes were the original factory sealed cartons.

This was my first experience with buying high end speakers and I chose to deal with Reference. Cory did everything possible to help out. He gave me technical information but didn't talk over my head like many audio stores in the area. What really impressed me was the fact that the warehouse was on the ball. I ordered a pair of PSB speakers and a sub. The sub was out of stock, but when the warehouse filled the order, they realized that the sub I purchased was going to be in the next day. Instead of shipping at multiple times, they just waited a day. I am planning on using them again for the rest of my speakers and new amp/preamp.

I have twice done business with Reference Audio Video in the last two months. First, I ordered a top-name subwoofer and later a set of speaker stands. I got both great advice and excellent delivered prices on both orders. I dealt with Ken both times. I feel he is one of the friendliest dealers I have ever done business with.

I find the comments made by a posting for One Call concerning Reference hard to believe. I have priced components on numerous occasions from One Call, and have never dealt with anyone as courteous and helpful as Ken with Reference. Obviously, in this business, personalities on both the part of the customers and the dealers play a huge role.

Stay away from this company. I received a pair of PSB 800 speakers from them and found one of the grilles to be broken. Not 30 minutes after picking up the speakers from FedEx, I called the company to inform them of the problem. They assured me that a new grille would be sent immediately. I waited patiently for 1 month, but received no new grille nor any explanation about why it hadn't been sent. I e-mailed Reference AV to ask what was going on, and 1 week letter got a reply stating that they knew nothing about it, but would order one right away for me. Again, I patiently waited another entire month. Still, no new grille was sent to me. I e-mailed them again, and threatened VISA and BBB involvement in the matter. They replied that they hadn't even ordered the grille and had no explanation for why they hadn't. This was over 2 months since I had first reported the problem, and they had done absolutely nothing to correct the matter. They said that they would order the grille and that I would recieve it in 9-11 days. 14 days later, I finally got the replacement part. Apparently, it should have taken just 2 weeks from the time I reported the problem. Instead, it was a 12 week fiasco. Buy elsewhere.

I ordered a pair of PSB Stratus Gold I speakers from Reference Audio. When I hooked them up, one of the tweeters didn't work and the overall integrity of the speaker didn't compare to the other. I called Reference Audio and they said they would get back to me. Their solution for "fixing" my speaker was to have me "fix" it myself and install a tweeter they sent rather than sending a new speaker. I would hate to buy a car from them that has a bad transmission. I have a feeling they would send me a transmission and forget about me.

After the painful experiences from dealing with ABC home stereo specialist, Reference AV is a totally different story. I ordered a Denon AVP-8000 preamplifer one week ago, and Ken gave me an unbelievablly good price and the service is absolutely A-grade(no-delay on shipping, double-boxed, and excellent condition). Ken is knowledgable and a very nice guy to talk to. Besides, I would like to mention Kevin, even though he is not my sales person he help me to fix the minor problem of my credit card payment without hesitation. Will highly recommend Reference AV, Ken, and Kevin to anybody who are looking for excellent price and excellent service.

Purchased an A/V Reciever from "Kevin" over the telephone. He was a little terse, but courteous and helpful. Very competitive price, and it arrived in 2 to 3 days via Fed Ex, just like he promised. They double-boxed as I requested. Only quibble was that the Fed Ex delivery person just left the package at my front door (!) even though I requested that Reference Audio require Fed Ex to get a signature for delivery. (To be fair, this may be Fed Ex's, rather than Reference Audio's, fault.) Overall, I had a very positive experience, and I would definitely consider purchasing from them again.

I want to give Reference Audio Video my highest recommendation. My salesman, Ken, was so courteous and never pushy, and VERY knowledgeable. What I thought was especially commendable was that he encouraged me to support my local dealer since it was the dealer that introduced me to the electronics. He offered to assist me, however, with my speaker purchase since the dealer did not seem all that knowledgeable about home theater speakers. Everything arrived safely and promptly, as promised.

I just bought a Sony CD player from them two days ago and it arrived today. It actually was delivered yesterday but I wasn't home to receive it. I live only an hour away from their store so shipping took only a day. Still, I was impressed by their quick service. Two days ago, I picked up the phone to order the player. I had already e-mailed them (they are good at responding to email) about a a particular item on their "September List." They told me they had it in stock. I asked them to give me the best price, and so they did. But I was determined to cut off another $10. So I called and said for them to take ten dollars off their best price and I'd take it right away. Seeing as how this was an older model (but I've wanted it for a while) they did so, in a quick and orderly manner. The only problems I had was trying to get the guy I talked to over email (Kevin), but he either went home early or went on lunch break. But I finally did reached him and he was very fast and got it shipped out the same day. And he gave it to me for the price I wanted to pay. Only complaint would be that the double box was rather thin and lined with a few newpapers. But my player arrived safely and in mint condition (so far). I am overall pleased with my purchase and would definitely buy from them again. But for anyone thinking of buying from RAV, be sure to ask for Ken or Kevin, because the other guy working there (I didn't get his name) has a real sour attitude, especially when you ask to leave a message for someone else! They weren't especially friendly straightfoward), but they were far from rude. However, because their service is great, and their prices are just as good, and they seem like honest and reasonable people, I wouldn't hesistate to give 'em a call. One more thing, they ship UPS sometimes, not just FEDEX as they claim. Which doesn't really matter, because if they had sent it FEDEX to me, it would have arrived a day later. Go figure.
