Just upgraded my turntable to a VPI MKIII(what a great piece of equipment,ANALOGE AIN'T DEAD!!!)The people at Music Direct are very good,kept me updated on the delivery of the VPI....the backorder delay was from VPI not having the parts to complete the mfg. of the table(VPI makes em' as ordered sort of in batches)...it was well worth the weight(pun intended),this turntable is MASSIVE!!)IT MAKES THE RECORDS COME ALIVE...ALL THESE YEARS (27) USING THE AR XA....was leaving half the music in the record groove...this turntable brings it all out...TURNTABLES DO HAVE AN EFFECT on the sound...Music Direct is a very good place to deal with, kept me fully informed on the exact shipping date,as in reality there was only a two week delay from VPI(getting parts)no big deal,it just seems longer when you are anxious to get something. just received the VPI 16.5 Record Cleaner from music direct.the price included shipping,which was the same price as another catalog that charged extra for shipping.it was shipped out when they said it would be,it arrived right on time. this was my first purchase from them,it will not be my last.good catalog,good service.now with this VPI cleaner,i am listening to records more often,but i wish i could use the remote from my cd player to flip the record over,CD'S are a lot more convenient.

Very fast service on a faxed order. Some confusion with a particular product that I ordered (read: they don't have a good system of part numbering)...they had to contact me to varify which of two products I was ordering??? One item was billed at $1 higher then published in the catalog. Yes, I would order from then again.
