A few weeks ago when the Panasonic DVD-A310 DVD players were scarce, I contacted Computability and ordered one which they indicated was in stock and that I should receive in a few days. Two days later it arrived and was double boxed. Very good price and service!

This is the first time I have done business with Computability. They had (and maybe still have) the best price on the Panasonic DVD-A310 (a mere $485 shipped), so I placed the order and mailed them a personal check. There's a 2-3 week delay if you prepay with a personal check, but Computability is very upfront about this time table. Once my check had cleared I called Computability to inquire about the status of my order. They said my order would be 'processed' on a particular date, and 3 working days after that date I received my new DVD player, double-boxed and in perfect condition. It's too bad that Computability doesn't provide a more extensive line of audio equipment.

The only company I could find with the Panasonic A110 in stock! I ordered on Friday morning and had it the next Saturday by 11AM! Missed having the lowest price on the unit by only $10 but their overnight shipping was only $18. Would definitely do more business with them.

Ordered a Yamahs subwoofer on line. Recieved an e-mail confirming the order. Ten days later, no subwoofer. A phone call to the company revealed they no longer carried that model. They had no explanation as to why there was no notification. Then my credit card started being used in Wisconsin where they are located. Beware!

I am a repeat customer with Computability. Their computer products are not the cheapest but competitive. The video products I bought comes in brand new by inspection but box had been resealed, don't know the reason. Shipping charges seems reasonable. Packaging comes with biodegradable fillers but not tightly packed, items settle at the bottom end all the time. Hope they improve this. I have bought my Toshiba M-782 with this company recently and so far it has been functioning flawlessly. I bought a Sony SLV-960HF last year too. It malfunctioned 4 months later by not ejecting, but I was able to fix the problem by taking off the hood and banging on the board a few times. The LED panel displayed some error code but I did not copy it down though. So far problem free. Considered OneCall but I like the people here better.

I ordered a Panasonic A300 DVD player way back in April from ComputAbility for the absoulutely amazing price of just $528. Even today, I have only found a lower mail order price once. Service and were very efficient, and delivery was fast and on schedule. Too bad they don't carry more brands!

I have ordered audio/video products on three occaisions. The sales people were courteous, friendly and helpful in every contact that I had. Prices are very good and delivery to southern New Jersey was 4 working days from order date. I recently received an inoperative Sony product out of the box. Customer service arranged a UPS pickup at my door (no cost) and shipped a new unit the day I called. Can,t ask for much more.

Ordered a Toshiba SD-3006 and an expensive 36" Toshiba TV. Both were delivered in under 5 days, both in excellent condition. Another nice thing is that their quoted price includes shipping! Wish they would give out the UPS tracking code though...

Computability is a mail order place that has been around for a while. I seem to recall ordering MS Office from them back in 1990.

Anyway, my most recent purchase was a JVC SVHS VCR from them. Although their home theater components are limited they do have good prices on everything they sell (they mainly sell computer stuff). In fact, they matched the price I had seen from a place that was NOT an authorized dealer which was nice.

The JVC was shipped a bit later than I expected because I had also ordered tapes which were not in stock. I was forced to call them up to find out the status of my order and once I cancelled the tapes they shipped out the VCR on the same day. I guess this was a bit of a hassle (that is why I downgraded to OK) although everything eventually got here.

they won't give out UPS tracking numbers so you have to take their word that your order shipped and you are at the mercy of the UPS driver's schedule. good prices though.

I ordered a Toshiba SD 3006 DVD Player from them. Their prices were good and they were one of the few companies I checked with that would ship to an APO box (I'm in the Air Force and stationed near Tokyo, JA). I got the player in about six days, and it was packed extremely well. Overall, I am impresed and would have no hesitation to do business with them again.
