I dealt with Frank Gow. He is very knowledgable and fair.
A delight to work with!

I ordered a bunch of Stereophiles from them. They came in
good time, but one was in bad shape (torn cover). They
replaced it and took care of the shipping. That was nice
of them, but considering their prices are steep (the highest
prices for used gear around), they should have caught
something like a torn cover (more of it was torn than not
torn).

Helped me find a Krell KST100 and a great selection
of Mcintosh gear due to close proximity to Mcintosh
Labs.

I wanted to buy an AudioControl R-130 spectrum analyzer,
but there are no dealers in my state. AudioControl referred
me to Audio Classics, apparently their only mailorder
outlet. I called and got Mike, who was courteous and
efficient. They had one new R-130 in stock for $579, which
I think is at or close to MSRP. I didn't try to negotiate a
lower price. I didn't think to ask them to double-box it,
but they did anyway. It arrived about a week later, which
is pretty good considering it was in the middle of the
Christmas rush.

Got a great deal on demo Cinema Grand. Mike sent me the tracking#
the next day as promised. Amp was in great condition.

I called Audio Classics, Inc. with the intention of purchasing an
Audiosource Amp1 amplifier that I had seen on sale for $199.00. However,
it had sold earlier that morning. I wanted that model because it had
output-level controls ( my budget system only requires a CD player and
amp, along w/speakers). The salesmen (Frank- very helpful) made a number
of suggestions and I chose a Carver TFM-15cb demo which I purchased for
$300.00 (down from $399.00). I am very pleased and will buy from them in
the future.

I feel they are at the extreme high-end of prices as far
as used equipment is concerned (as soon as I got my amp I
saw it in another publication for $200.00 less) the quality
is exactly as advertised. My amp did not have one flaw! So
for probably hassle free audio trading they are great BUT
you will pay for it!

They correctly identified the condition of the integrated
amp I was interested in purchasing, and were willing to deal
on the price. I found them to be responsive and truthful. It
came exactly as promised. They weren't overly friendly or
jocular, but they did their job effectively. I've had it at
home now for 2 weeks and it is working perfectly. I would
definitely deal with them again in the future.

I recommend them!
