I saw an eye-popping deal on Linaeum Extremes that were "blemished". These were new and being sold for cheaper than in the used classifieds. I got them one day earlier than stated, they arrived in excellent shape, they charged dirt-cheap shipping (hate those mail-order firms that make money on shipping), and the "blemish" could not be detected by me! They have lots of very special deals on stuff that isn't junk, like Musical Fidelity gear, Sound Dynamics, Epos, etc. Recommended!

Recently bought a demo Parasound DAC from their website. The price was good ($700 for the PLD-2000). Shipping time was good, but the package arrived without double-boxing, and was pretty beat on the outside. As a result, the rackmount faceplate was slightly bent. Additionally, it lacked a manual (they should have at least used a photocopy of one), there were no other registration materials, the balance control was rough when turned clockwise, and one of the channels would cut out when the volume control was turned past a certain point. Clearly, this was a worn unit. Their return policy is excellent, however, and I've sent it right back for a CC credit. But, I am out the shipping inn both directions.

Though usually responsive and generally honest, Audio Advisor can tend to tell you what you want to hear rather than what it true.

A good example is with a recent cable order that I placed with them. I wanted a "close-out" special on a video cable and a couple of other things. My sales person, Tom, told me that the schtuff was in stock and would be shipped that day, the next day at the latest. Now, 6 days later, I call to learn that not only has my stuff not been shipped, but that the cable hasn't even been terminated yet, and won't be until tomorrow.

Nothing tragic but disappointing to say the least. Honesty is the key to any relationship, especially if it is ongoing, and in this respect Audio Advisor could have been a bit more forthright.

Ordered a piece of AV furniture from them and had no probelems. Piece arrived when promised and in perfect condition. Their prices are not near the best, but they do carry some interesting items not readily available in many markets. For those items that require special handling or are not available where you live, I would recommend Audio Adviser. If low price is of concern, shop elsewhere. I will purchase from them again.

These guys are very helpful and will give honest advice about components they sell. I have bought two pairs of speakers and speakers stands from them. The mechandise arrives when they say it will and is double boxed, the prices are quite good on the closeouts but average on their ordinary stock. Still the service and advice are so good that I keep coming back for more.

Some of their high end stuff is of dubious benefit (such as anti-jitter devices) but that is the high end.

I ordered a Parasound P/LD-2000 preamp. I received the preamp when promised, but there was a problem with the balance (left channel much louder than the right). Called about the problem and was given a RA number and they said they would ship me a new one, with my credit card credited when they received the defective preamp. Everything happened as I was told (dealt with Ken at x668). They are friendly, helpful, and I have never experienced a better or quicker return policy. Highly recommended.

What can I say. Audio Advisor is a wonderful place to do business with. Chris at ext 676 is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and my dealings with him have always been a pleasure. My orders have always arrived on time and in excellent condition. Needless to say, I'll keep buying from them.

I ordered an open box Pinnacle sub from them. I originally called in trying to get a scratch/ding special but they had completely sold out. Instead I got a great deal (below cost) on a Pinnacle Digital Sub 350. I was skeptical because the sub was so cheap but when I got it home it was even in the original box. The sub was in great condition and was essentially brand new. It performs great and I can't even tell that it was an open box. Way to go again Audio Advisor. I will continue to order products from them because their sales people are very knowledgeable and they have consistently provided me with great service.

I recently ordered a Musical Fidelity X-CANS headphone amplifier and Grado SR-225 headphones from Ken at x0668(could be wrong)--the 225s did not meet my expectations as an upgrade from my SR-80s, so I spoke with Ken and the return process went very smoothly, no questions asked! Much recommended, I will definitely order from Ken next time.

I have dealt with Audio Advisor many times over the past two or three years and have always been completely satisfied. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff--especially Corey Kapteyn, who has talked me through quite a number of system matching challenges. I have bought lots of good stuff from them, and on occasion have also returned an item that didn't sound the way I hoped. There is never a hassle on returns within their 30-day trial period. Highly recommended.

Ordered speaker stands on Monday, 12-1-97. They arrived on Saturday, 12-6-97, but without the hardware (floor spikes, screws, etc.). I called immediately and was told they would send it out right away. Had not arrived by Wednesday, 12-10-97, so I called. Reassured that it was being sent. Finally arrived 12-17-97, postmarked 12-10-97.

Ordered a Velodyne F-1200X from Audio Advisor (via Tom Myers X667 - great salesdude!) a month ago. However, I received a different (lower model) model from Velodyne, the VA1012, by mistake.

Gave Tom a call, he courteously gave me a return authorization and gave me directions to return the unit. He then sent the correct model that same day. I received the unit I wanted four days later and still even had the one shipped by mistake - UPS hadn't even picked it up yet!

Suffice to say, when UPS did finally pick up the unwanted unit two days after, it affirmed the fact the Audio Advisor is one heck of a company. Won't hesitate to shop from there again.

Excellent Website, where I was able to find out all of the details on a Musical Fidelity A220 integrated amplifier. My subsequent phone order was dealt with very courteously and professionally. Paid less for the amplifier than I would have paid for it in the UK, the country of manufacture - amazing ! The amplifier arrived promptly and has worked flawlessly since. Shopping with AA was a pleasant experience and I intend to use their services again.

I ordered a RoomTunes BasikRack from them, it was not in stock, they were (John Flick) honest and told me upfront that it would a couple of weeks to be delivered. When I finally got it some parts were missing, I called John and he took care of it, the missing items were at my door the next day. What can I say, excellent service, fair prices. I would definitely buy from them in the future.

First of all, both their print and online catalogs are awesome and include information about what to look for when purchasing items. I ended up buying Standesign speaker stands from them as well as some odds and ends (HT book, RF stoppers, etc). They promised me that even though they were shipping the product UPS ground that it would arrive in 2 days. I was very pleased and shocked when this turned out to be true.

I am extremely happy with my new stands and definitely plan to purchase an audio rack from them in a couple of months. I personally feel that they have the widest collection, available via mail order, of both stands and racks at some of the best prices that I have seen.
