Investigation moved to Attorney General's Office
Rumored to have gone out of business not long after, but I'm still getting feedback (possibly old) about them.

I ordered merchandise worth $995.00 from Amerisound in July 1992. After several months of excuses I cancelled my order, of course they had cashed my check! I have been keeping tabs with postal inspector for last several years but not much has come of it. I learned in Jan '98 that the postal inspector has dropped the investigation due to lack of evidence. However I am sure that I am not the only person ROBBED by Marc Haine/Amerisound. The Postal Inspector gave me this address & phone number if anyone else wants to keep trying to get their money back.

This company ripped me off in 1993 (Approx. $1500.00). I received one piece and then had to deal with the "backorder" story. I had been in touch with the Postal Inspector over the last four years trying to help with the case and get my money back. I just received a letter from the Postal Inspector dated Jan. 30, 1998 stating "the US Attorney's Office in Jacksonville, Florida has declined to prosecute the United States case against Marc Haine, d/b/a/ Amerisound." The Postal Inspector also informed me a year or so ago that Marc Haine had opened another mail order business in southern Florida (how this could happen, I will never know). By the way, if anyone is interested, he spent most of the money he stole on an extravagant lifestyle (cars, houses, boats, etc.). If anyone knows of his other business, PLEASE let everyone know what kind of an ass this guy is.

They tried to rip me off in 1991 with their " backorder" story. I got lucky, my credit card company re-imbursed me for the $1,200 they charged my card without delivering anything! I spoke to Carver's East coast sales rep who told me he had numerous complaints about this outfit. They are not an authorized dealer, and have no legitimate source for the equipment. Even if you would get it, their is no warrantee protection. Beware!

This happened a couple of years ago, but I want to make sure it doesn't hapen to anyone else. The never shipped the product that they charged me $1200 for. I never got any money back and as far as I know they didn't get punished at all. Please keep this information up on this company so that no one else get ripped off by these jerks!!

I was ripped off by this company several years ago. After many calls and letters I gave up trying to get my 1200.00 of remaining merchandise. The first several pieces came and then the "backorder" story came around.
