Ambrosia sells some great equipment but they are interested in promoting their own agenda. If you question their opinions or do not place all your trust in their opinions, or if they feel mistrustful of you they behave in a upity un business like manner.

I have purchased both equipment and cable from them. Everyone I spoke with is patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Bob is especially helpful. Prices are reasonable, although Ambrosia tends to push their lines over others. It's subtle and not offensive but definitely noticeable. Recommended for advice and their demo/clearance specials.

I have dealt with David Weinhardt and Ambrosia Audio/Video by phone and post for the past three years, including purchasing an Immedia turntable/arm and Balanced Audio Tech. VK5 and VK10, oh, and a Sounds of Silence cartridge that David sold me at his cost (one of the first in the country!). I have sold several pieces of used Krell gear through him on consignment. In all these dealings (my opinion of the stores in Houston should be obvious) I have received astonishingly personal service, very good discounts, and absolutely NO hustle. David has called manufacturers to obtain better deals for me and has called them when I had service problems. This is better service than with a dealer from down the street. They have my complete trust and endorsement.

Must mention OUTSTANDING service from David Weinhart at Ambrosia. Purchased a CAL ALPHA DAC and brought it over to the UK. When I tried it out, it didn't work. David paid for it to be fixed over here by the authorized CAL reps and credited the cost against my purchase price. Even though the cost to him was certainly greater, everything was made as easy as possible for me ... and I've ordered from him since and would do so anytime.
