Ordered a pair of klipsch ksb 3.1 speakers. was told they had them in stock but after 2 week run around and no speakers I cancelled my order but they didn't credit my account. I'm letting visa handle this now. this company SUCKS! I placed an order with kiefs instead.

This is a very bad company because they charged the money without sending the product, and they would not give the credit back after the order was canceled. Here is the details.

On April 15, 1998, I ordered a Panasonic DVD A110 from All Brands Electronic. Jonathan, the saleman, said he had the DVD in stock and promised that I would receive the DVD in 4-5 days. On 5/4, I still did not received the DVD, but my credit card bill showed that they already had charged my account on 4/15. Therefore, I called them (on 5/4) and was told by Jonathan that the product was still being ordered. I was mad and cancelled the order, and Jonathan promised to credit my credit card back. On 5/13, I called them to ask if they have credited my accout, and I was told by Jonathan that they could only charge the money, but they could not give the credit back, and I would have to tell my credit card company to get the money back. Currently, I am waiting for a dispute form from my credit card company, and I will file the form in order to get my money back.

Be very Carefull with All Brands. They don't stock anything!! They are a broker. When you order from them, they charge your card imediately and then order, at very good prices, what you want. but, if the real dealer decides to give one of their customers preference on a hard to find item, you are scr... Very Good prices, but be carefull. I ordered an "in stock" hard to find item, and I think the real dealer wanted to give it to someone else.

When I purchased a Denon dolby-digital receiver from All-Brands they said warranty was handled from the company that they obtained Denon from. They told me that the product was covered and if there was any warranty work that they would send me a bogus copy of an invoice from this source company. 11 months later I needed warranty work and when I contacted All-BS they said they would send they invoice (with an inflated price I might add). They never sent anything and after telling Denon Co the truth, they were big enough to fix the product under the factory warranty. Never did hear from All-Brands and guess what? They will never here from me either. Buyer beware!!

This company has the worst service and manners of anyone I have dealt with. I ordered a pair of speakers on Feb 23, and my credit card was charged on the 24th. I was told that they would be shipped March 2. I called back on March 3rd and was told they had not yet arrived from their supplier. This continued for 3 more weeks... I called them a total of 7 times. Each time I talked to them they claimed they were still waiting for a shipment. Finally, after Ben claimed he was getting a delivery, and then did not, I canceled the order.
In addition, the salesmen were rude and made no attempt to supply me with information about my order. It is not worth the amount you may save buying from All Brands.

I ordered a pair of Celestion Impact 35 speakers and it took 4 weeks to get both speakers. All Brands sent them on different days, so I worried the second one was never sent. Ben was actually telling the truth I received the other one the next day. It seems that All Brands could improve their warehouse/shipping process, but I would buy from them again.

Don't ever order anything from AllBrands. They provided the worst service I have ever experienced. I order two subs and a speaker (to be used as a center channel). They told me everything was in stock, when only the speaker was. They told me they would get the subs in four days. Four days later I called back...no subs. I canceled the order on the subs. When I received the speaker I was not happy. I paid for a new speaker. I got a speaker who's serial number did not match the box it came in, who's finish was scratched, who midrange sounded very harsh and staticy, the binding posts where pointing in the wrong direction, as compared to the ones on the speakers I already own (same models), the wall mounting jack on the back showed signs of use (the paint was scratched off in a cirular pattern). I haven't called them back yet (they were closed), so I'll post again and tell you how it turned out.

Waiting five weeks for klipsch speakers. Nothing but lies dealing with these people on the phone. Worst mail order experience of my life!

Saturday March 21, 1998

Do not deal with these people! I placed an order for a VCR on March 13. I was told it was available, and I asked for second day shipping. Joe told me that it was not needed, since it would go out on Monday and, due to my location, would be here 2 or 3 days later. On Friday, March 20, after seeing UPS drive by, I called to see where my VCR was. The man told me he was unclear as to why it had not gone out, since the warehouse had 6 listed in stock. He said he would call me right back. I never got the call. On Saturday, March 21, I called again. I was told to call back in several minutes since Joe had stepped out to get coffee. When I called back again, the man I spoke to said he had to call another company, which he was unsure if it was open, and he would have to call me back. At this point, I told him to cancel the order. Upon checking with my CC company, I found that they charged my card back on March 13! I called back, and he said that was the way they did business, and my card would be credited on Monday. If it's not, I'll post again.

Do not give places like this your money! They do not deserve to be in business!

This company is terrible. They say it will take 7-10 days to get a piece of equipment, and now after a month of the runaround, I have cancelled my order. They told me lie after lie. First, they said they had to check another distributor, but they would call me and give me an update that day. After no phone call, I called again the next day and they said they got one. They said it would go out on Tuesday and I should receive it by Thursday. On Friday, I call to find out why I hadn't received the item, and they tell me they need to check with the shipping department and they will call me back. This time they actually did call back, and they said that the item looked damaged, but they would try and get me another one if I wanted to wait some more. So why didn't they tell me it was damaged on Tuesday? By this time, I was totally fed up with them and cancelled my order. Avoid this company at all costs!! Their prices do look good, but it is not worth the runaround and the endless excuses.

Sunday December 7 , 1997

1. Overcharged my credit card
2. Failed to deliver an item after 5 weeks (I finally got it)
3. I called and complained and got the run around. I stopped payment via my credit card company. Instant service.
4. Make sure you get a fax or hard copy of your proposed purchase price including shipping and handeling. It's their word against yours when you get the bill.
5. God help you if you have a problem with what you received!
6. Michael is gone (I wonder why?)

Quality and service are superb. Ordered over $20k of equipment from them for my new home. Got one low price for the package, including all shipping, and they blew away their competitors. I asked for products to be shipped in segments so I'm not overwhelmed with equipment. They've only billed me for items that have actually been shipped. Shipping times are always exact and they always call me with a tracking number. I'm a very satisfied customer and have always been treated very well by Ken, Michael, and Jonathan.

Monday December 1 , 1997

These guys are real if-fy. The price is good but the preformance is the worst. If it breaks you can't send it back. They charge you but don't send the product and don't call you to tell you the status of your order. And in my case they charged but didn't send the product. I'm trying to get my money back now and also trying to find an on-line dealer that has some honor. It's a jungle out there.

I ordered an NAD 512 CD Player. Excellent price. They said they were authorzed to sell NAD. The CD Player arrived with evidence that the box had been opened before. Foolishly, I accepted it. Inside, there were no warranty papers, no registration card, or anything besides tha owners manual. A few months later the display died. The All Brands guy glibly told me to call NAD. NAD told me tough luck. Fortunately all that was wrong was a couple of burnt out bulbs. NAD offered to send me replacements if I wanted to put them in my self.

I did, having some experience with electronics. But I am certain that had it been something more serious like a dead laser or burnt out processor, I would hav been up the creek. I do not blame NAD. I do blame All Brands.

I ordered A Venturi V62clr center from them, they told me it was in stock and that I should get it in 7-14 days. After waiting 14 days I called them back, they told me they didn't have it in stock and just today got it in. I finally received my order about a few days later.

About to consider a fourth ($500+) purchase and if all goes as usual will likely arrive at some agreement with Michael at Allbrands. I have yet to find any better pricing. No indication on any of the previous purchases from Allbrands that Michael has been anything but honest and satisfied the expectations I have had in any of our agreements. I do not hesitate referring colleagues to Allbrands and Michael. Quoted customer lead-times have all been met but have't checked to be certain when billing occurs because I feel they can go ahead and use my credit as long as they are providing such good pricing.

Friday October 24, 1997

Purchased separate parasound amp and preamp..told 14 days by michael, delivered on time. Price was best I found. just my two cents worth...my experience with allbrands was very satisfying and I will use them again!

I placed an order at All Brands for a pair of PSB speakers. I asked Jonathan (who was rather rude, btw) several times if they were in stock, and he repeatedly assured me that they had them in stock. Two weeks later, he called me up, saying that they didn't have the speakers in stock after all, *but* , he would be very glad to change the order to another PSB model, which, ofcourse, happens to be more expensive than the one I wanted. He was so sure that he had them in stock, and then took _two weeks_ to figure out that he didn't have them? Fortunately, AllBrands did credit back the order two weeks after I cancelled the order (they charged my credit card the day I placed the order).

After reading all the comments on this web page (and others), and doing my own in-depth research, I decided to give All Brands a try. I must say that they offered the best price on the home theatre system I was interested in (Yamaha 992, 5 NHT Super One surrounds, and an NHT 2Pi sub). I called Michael and informed him that I had read all the nasty comments about All Brands on this web page. Being the suave salesman that he is, he assured me it was all a bunch of b.s. and that he had EVERYTHING I wanted in stock, ready to ship out within 2-3 days. I told him that I wouldn't mind if he didn't have everything in stock, that I was both a reasonable and a patient man, and all I expected from him was an honest response. He reassured me that my system ($2,350 delivered) was in stock and that I'd have in within the week. Three weeks later no system. Big surprise. Four weeks and I received 3 Super One satellites. I called All Brands and learned that Michael was on vacation. I explained my plight to Jonathan who simply shrugged it off as Michael's over-zelous nature. Jonathan explained to me that All Brands had not had the 992 AC-3 receivers in stock for several weeks, and furthermore did not know when they would be receiving them. Apparently (according to Jonathan, but I've not been able to substantiate anywhere else), Yamaha had a manufacturing problem with their AC-3 chips and had suspended production until the problem was resolved. Well, after many phone calls and threats of litigation, I'm happy to say that my credit card (which was charged the day I ordered the equipment), has finally been credited the full amount (less S&H). What a mistake it was to deal with these nimrods. Save yourself the grief and aggravation and avoid these knuckleheads like the plague.

As a person who has done business with All Brands, I have the following advice for people who are thinking about doing the same.

1) They will ALWAYS bill you the same day you order the item. Even if they have it or not. Ask them not to do this and to not charge your credit card until they ship the item. If they won't do this then don't order from them

2) If they say they have an item it doesn't mean they have it right there in the store. In many cases they will tell you it will take 7 to 14 days so this gives them time to go through their distributor to find the item. Make sure they have it right there. If they say it is in stock and still quote a 7 to 14 day shipping period, ask them why so long. It shouldn't take anymore then 4 or 5 days to get to you in the U.S. If they quote anything higher, don't order from them. (Unless they are out of stock and you are willing to wait of course)

3) Make sure you ask to double box. In many cases they don't. Even if it's a receiver.

If I think of anything more I will post it here.

Placed an order on 8-18, a marantz DP870. After reading some bad things about the company, I decided to cancel my order the following week. I talked to John and asked him to credit my account accordingly, but as of this date 9-11, nothing's been done so far. I'm letting my credit card company handle the situation. I will never shop at ALL BRANDS again.

I ordered an Onkyo TXDS-838 receiver from All Brands about four months ago. When I got the receiver, I noticed it had some minor damage that was definitely incurred during shipping. The receiver worked, but ran very hot. I called Michael from All Brands about two weeks later and told him of the problem. He was very helpful and after filing a claim with Federal Express, I sent the receiver back to Michael. I told Michael that I wanted to upgrade the 838 to a 939 if possible, and he gave me a good deal. I received the 939 shortly after; however, two hours after I hooked it up the thing blew up - a result of one of the 'bugs' Onkyo has not worked out. I called Michael, and told him what had happened, and of my new hatred for Onkyo products. He allowed me to exchange the defective Onkyo for separates (Michael is very cool). I have not received them yet, but I am sure that I will - I will write back when I get them.

Wednesday July 30, 1997

They did not ship the merchandise right away as promised. First they lied about the availability of the merchandise, then they tried to charge me more for immediate delivery. Worst of all, they didn't credit my Visa until Citibank intervened.

When I complained, the saleperson told me to take my business elsewhere. So I did, to OneCall.

I'll never buy anything from AllBrands again.

Tuesday July 22, 1997

I ordered a Marantz CD-63 from Michael. He claimed it would take 7-14 days to ship to my address. Two weeks later, he called my house and claimed the CD-63 just wasn't available, but for X amount of dollars more, he could get me the next higher grade of CD player. I told him no way and cancel the original order. Talk about bait and switch.

Later, I found out from my credit card statement Michael had charged my card for the full amount immediately after I hung up from placing my order. Unfortunately, he "forgot" to credit my card for the CD player he never shipped.

So, I called my credit card company and turned it over to them. The long and short of it is, I got my money(credit) back. But I want to warn everybody about Michael and All Brands Electronics. Now I know why their prices are so good!

Try them...Ask for Michael

Mon, 5 May 1997

Very, very friendly. You wouldn't hesitate refering your friends and relatives to them. Prices at least very good, great on Velodyne. Some products not double boxed, ask if you want this.

Tue, 6 May 1997

Your billed before product ships salesperson gives you the runaround 7-14 day waiting(shipping) period

Fri, 23 May 1997

very rude. When I asked them if they could at least match the prices I have been quoted, the sale person said "yeah, right. Good luck" and hung up on me

Sun, 25 May 1997

stated they had something in stock, but really meant that they thought they could find a distributor who had one in stock

Thu, 29 May 1997

Great Prices, no hassles, and brand new merchandise. Its what mail order should always be, but sometimes, unfortunately, fall short.

Sun, 1 Jun 1997

I would rate the service from Michael at All-Brands Electronics as poor. Possibly very poor, as the story is not yet complete.

I was interested in purchasing a Pioneer VSX-D606S, a 100x5W AC-3 receiver. Michael told me it would go out the following day. When I called a week later, he tried to BS me about FedEx taking 7-10 days for a delivery which he claimed was costing me $20, then admitted that due to a "mix-up" my receiver had never been sent. At this point, I told him to cancel the order, and he agreed.

To my surprise, Michael called me back the next day, offering to knock $40 off the price. I agreed, and the receiver arrived two days later.

I am very happy with my receiver, but my just-received Visa statement shows a charge from All-Brands at the original price, not the discounted price we agreed on. I look forward to Michael's explanation of this second "mix-up".

Stay tuned. . . .

Tue, 3 Jun 1997

- Prices they quote are shipping included (depends on destination). - Good prices. Their actual prices are even lower than the prices they quote on www. So it is always best to phone.

Thu, 5 Jun 1997

They may charge your credit card before shipping.

Mon, 30 Jun 1997

Ask for Johnathan, he price matched the best price I came up with and supplied the merchandise ahead of schedule and in perfect shape. He did all this in a professional and pleasant manner.I will recommend Johnathan and his company All Brand Electronic to anyone in need of electronic gear.

Tue, 15 Apr

Claimed item was in-stock, then changed the story after I placed the order.
