Plan:
Job: Network Programmer, Battlezone 2, developed by Pandemic Studios http://www.pandemicstudios.com , published by Activision http://www.activision.com [Note: in this, I am *NOT* speaking officially for either of those, I'm only speaking for myself.]

6/28/01: Cool completely free game for download: http://www.bridgebuilder-game.com/ . No, I didn't have anything to do with it, but it's definitely a neat diversion. It's only a 122Kb download (yes, I didn't miss a digit in there), so what do you have to lose?

6/26/01: Not to boast (too much :) but I've got development kits for not one but two big-name consoles at my desk here at work now. Of course that means I've got to keep a codebase running on both of them, but it's kinda fun to do this-- haven't had such a thing since my previous employer where I had a PSX1 and a Saturn on my desk there.

As to what I've been working on, let me say this: in this calendar year (2001), I've worked on three completely different games. One's about to be released, and watch this space for info on it for when I can say something. This is probably Pandemic's last PC (desktop) title for the time being, as the industry moves to consoles. Sorry, but piracy has killed the PC market, and nobody wants to fund titles for it, as those reading between the lines of the E3 coverage may have surmised. Just about every PC title shown at E3 this year was known about (and shown as well) last year. The number of new PC titles was nearly nonexistant. So, this Christmas may have a number of titles, but after that, the supply of titles may get sparser for a while.

The second title's somewhat related to the first, and once the first is revealed, the fate of the second may be clearer. The third is why I've got the two devkits at my desk. You'll be able to see the results of work in under a year.

This is the 444th access this week, and the 1594th access since May 17th, 2002.
