Hare's Ear Wiggle Nymph

Let me preface the following by saying that I am a novice tyer who usually ties maybe twice a year. For me, fly tying is kind of like cooking. The recipe is always a little different each time I cook.
I copy, as best I can, the tying instructions in the Doug Swisher and Carl Richards book "Tying the Swisher/Richards Flies, published by Stackpole Books, copyright 1980.
For the tail portion of the fly, I used a size 18 dry fly hook.
Thread: Brown
Body: Tan hare's mask fur
Tail: tan/brown hackle fibres
Ribbing: Fine gold wire
Tie on thread and wrap to just in front of the bend.
Tie on tail fibres.
Tie in gold ribbing
Dub fur to eye of hook
Wrap ribbing
Tie off
Cut off the bend and point of the hook at the base of the tail.
For the body of the fly, I used a siz #16 Orvis shrimp/caddis hook.
Thread: Brown
Body: Tan hare's mask fur
Wingcase: Grayish/black duck quill segment
Tie on thread and wrap to just in front of bend.
Insert 20lb test fishing line into the ring of the tail section (hook).
Tie loose ends of line to shank of body hook, allowing a small loop for free movement of the tail, but not enough that it can wrap around the hook.
Tie in quill section.
Dub Body (I also build up the body with thread before dubbing).
Tie off wingcase and thread.
Pick or rake dubbing from the bottom of the body to suggest legs.
