Olive Marabou Nymph
Hook .............................. Kamasan B800, 12 (Nymph hook)
Thread ............................ Olive 6/0
Tail .............................. Olive marabou
Body .............................. Olive marabou, wrapped herl style
Wing .............................. Olive marabou tips
Wingcase .......................... Peacock herl
Legs .............................. Grizzly hackle
Tie in a fairly large bunch of fluffy marabou, the same length as the hook
shank. Attach long marabou fibres and wrap herl style to position of thorax.
Wrap several turns of thread over as if finishing off but don't cut off
marabou. Fold tips backward and bind in to form a wing, then pinch off tips
so that they only reach back to where the tail is tied in. Tie in 3 pieces
of peacock sword above shank of hook and 3 below. Attach grizzly hackle
and wind on 4 even turns of hackle and tie off. Trim hackle so that only
fibres that lie horizontally remain. Bring peacock sword forward above and
below the hook shank to form the thorax. Tie an even head and whip finnish.
