Hook: 1XL nymph, 12-18
Thread: black
Tail: pheasant tail fibers
Body: pheasant tail fibers
Rib: copper wire
Thorax: peacock herl
Head: pearl glass seed bead
Slide pearl glass seed bead to eye of hook. Add weight if desired. Tie in
3-4 pheasant tail fibers, about 3/4 shank length for tail. Tie in copper
wire rib.
Tie in 4-5 pheasant tail fibers and wrap body to within 1/4 shank length
of bead. Wrap wire rib and tie off. Tie in peacock herl and wrap thorax.
Whip finish.
Unweighted, very effective to imitate emerging Callibaetis in stillwaters.
Weighted, a good general purpose nymph.
