DRESSING

1. Debarb hook and attach thread. OPTIONAL Wrap shank in area of thorax with appropriate size lead wire and cover with thread and head cement for weighted nymph.
2. OPTIONAL Attach rib wire and wind to hook bend so wire is on underside of hook shank. Stop thread at point above hook barb.
3. Remove appropriate number of barbs from partridge feather for tail. Attach barbs to hook using pinch method. Length of tail to your taste.
4. Wax thread and pinch dub lightly with fur blend. Wind forward forming abdomen to the area of the thorax. Wind rib forward 3-4 turns and tie off.
5. Tie in piece of mylar tinsel so that gold side is facing upward and extending toward hook bend. Bind securely with thread through length of thorax. Pinch dub thread with fur blend with at least 3x the amount used for the abdomen. Wind to form the enlarged thorax. Leave room for the head.
6. Pull tinsel forward and tie in at front of thorax. Form small head with thread and whip finish. Apply head cement if so inclined.
