MATERIALS
Mustad 3906B Hook (#12)
Black Monocord
.015 Lead Wire
Lemon Woodduck Feather
Fine Copper Wire Rib
Red Fox Fur Dubbing
Shellaced Mottled Turkey Feather
Lemon Dye Mallard or Partridge
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Place hook in vise and wrap thread to midshank and wrap back to bend.
2. Place 10 to 12 lead wire wraps on hook securing lead with thread wraps
to prevent movement.
3. Tie in shank length lemon woodduck tail trimming off excess feather forward
of tail.
4. Tie in fine copper wire at base of tail.
5. Dub thread with red fox fur wrapping forward to thorax.
6. Take fine copper wire and wrap forward to thorax (about 4 to 6 wraps).
7. Snip off excess copper wire
8. Tie in Turkey quill segment for wing case at thorax.
9. Dub thread and wrap forward toward eye leaving adequate room for legs
and whip finish head.
10. Tie in lemon dyed mallard underneath and just behind the hook eye.
11. Pull turkey quill forward completing wingcase and tie at head.
12. Whip finish head and cut thread.
13. Place head cement on wingcase and thread.
14. Go fish.
