Greetings and welcome to Castle Moobeast.  The great thing about a virtual castle is the maintenance, which is nothing like taking care of a real castle.  However, on this recent remodel we found a pile of out-dated links and a lot of bloated code.  Hence we're performing an über-haul, rather than a more basic remodel.  We're changing the design just a bit to keep things fresh and interesting.  Since this is taking longer than anticipated (a routine occurrence in all remodels), we're posting the pages as we finish them.  This means that not everything is live just yet, and we're not bothering to edit our page headers.

To limit spam, we don't have any links to our e-mail, since they can be harvested by the unscrupulous.  To reach us, e-mail moobeast at visi with a dot and a com (of course you will need to manually change the "at" to @, the "a dot" to "."  and  drop "and a" before the "com").  If that's far too much work for you compared to a nice easy hyperlink, our hearts bleed for you.  Really.  They do.

Links to resource informational sites, publishers, SF & F groups, and the like can be found in the writing annex.

Martial Arts

Students of Shorin-Ryu since 1994, we focus on traditional martial arts of Okinawa.  As assistant instructors, in both the women's self defense class and the karate class we're big on safety and self defense.

Geekdom

Steve's picks for really nifty Magic sites and online resources.  Insights into the game, the strategies and his favorite variations of play.

The Celts

Fans of the Celts  prior to the current craze - here's a place dedicated to furthering, or at least remembering, our ancestors.  Cultural info (primarily Irish Celt) and links.

Places to Go Things to Do

Check out some of the great places we've visited in our free time or while on  vacation.  Because we're poor, we mostly stick to the Midwest, but there's a lot to explore in these parts.

Other stuff

Links to some of our other interests:  Amateur radio, computers, the environment, genealogy, music (bands we like), phantasy and horror, and the Renaissance era.

Other Stuff Part 2

This is where we stash the interesting things that have come up during writing research.  Romany, China, overuse/ergonomic issues, chain e-mails and urban legends), and general silliness such as The Eye of Argon.
