    News Highlights 
    Summer Schedule. We are on our summer schedule with one Sunday service at 9:00 a.m
     
    Project Home. As part of Project Home, St. Matthews' parish hall is an overflow homeless shelter.  Volunteers are still needed, especially in the evening to take children to the park, and in the early morning to help with breakfast. Contact Elaine Tarone to volunteer or get more information.
     
    Summer Discussion Series. As both the weather and the political season heat up, St. Matthew's has been offering a summer discussion series on faith and politics. There are two more sessions at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday August 3 and August 10.

    Mission Trip Update. St. Matthew's youth and their adult leaders have just returned from a successful and fulfilling mission trip building houses in Ethete, Wyoming. Learn more about their trip here.
     
    Community Power Grant. St. Matthew's has won a grant to help it become a community leader in conservation and green practices. Learn more here.
     
    Theology and the Environment. Mark your calendars for next fall! Starting in October St. Matthew's will be hosting a series of discussions on theology and the environment, culminating in a conversation with renowned British theologian T.J. Gorringe, author of A Theology of the Built Environment. Learn more here.

    Blue House. The Blue House, a charity supported by St. Matthew's has begun a capital campaign to build a new school and housing for Ugandan AIDS orphans.  Learn more here.
     
    Centering Prayer at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Compline Sunday Evening Service at 7:00 p.m. are still on during the summer.
     
    Project Home. Volunteers are needed for evenings, overnights, and breakfast for the August overflow homeless shelter that St. Matthew's hosts as part of Project Home. Please check the calendar and contact Elaine Tarone to volunteer or get more information.
     
    Global Horizon Ministries. A team of St. Matthew's members and others have been working with Father Bernard Sande to help his ministry in Kesogon, Kenya. Learn more here.
