The original list gets busy sometimes, and is pretty quiet others. It should pick up once Liz starts releasing stuff again. Like most lists it tends to alternate between some really good stuff, and some junk.
If you'd like to join, just send a message to guyville-request@fdemocracy.org with "subscribe" in the body of the message. The listserver will then add you to the list at that e-mail address.
If you'd rather get a digest form of the list instead of receiving each message individually, just send a message to guyville-d-request@fdemocracy.org with "subscribe" in the message body. I don't know how often digests come out. I'm a member of one other list (really deep thoughts, a Tori Amos list.) and they send out a digest every day. There's also a lot more traffic in that list though.
To send messages to the list, just send mail to guyville@fdemocracy.org.
To UNsubscribe to the list, send a message to the appropriate address (the one you used to subscribe) with "unsubscribe" in the body of the message.
