Some mornings, of course, feeling positive and upbeat is
harder than others. Sometimes, for no reason I can explain,
I wake up with something that feels like fear. Not fear of
getting of getting injured, but fear of not performing. I
don't try denying this feeling when it comes. I also don't
let it tie me in knots. I tell myself: This is nothing to be
ashamed of. It's natural, in fact. It just shows how much I
want to win and perform. Hey! I can take this edgy feeling
and turn it to my advantage. I can let it drive me onto the
football field. Then I can unleash my monsters on my oppenents.
